6/4/05 M13 The Great Hercules Cluster

This image took more processing effort than I thought it would. Using the digital development routine in Images PLus brought the luminance channel out nicely, but adding color proved to be a challenge. It's a balancing act between trying to maximize the number of stars, keeping the background in check, and trying to keep the star color from washing out. Complicating things were a number of green channel throw-aways that got zapped by a random cloud on an otherwise beautiful night, so only 20 minutes of green. I could use a little more glob processing practice.
