Spiral Galaxy NGC 3628 - Posted March 1, 2007

Beautiful edge-on spiral NGC3628 is one of the three galaxies that make up the famous Leo Trio triplet of galaxies. In fact I almost did a wide field shot of the Trio on this night but the seeing was good and I decided to go with the close up shot instead. The moon was out and caused me some grief with the background. I processed it completely separately from the galaxy and then merged them back together.
