8/20/03 The Milky Way!

I piggybacked the ST8i with a 55mm lens on the LX200 and took a bunch of wide field shots of M24, the Great Sagittarius Star Cloud. The field was wide enough to get M8 the Lagoon Nebula and M20 the Trifid nebula in the shot as well! I love looking at the Summer Milky Way and this is one of it's brightest parts. Maybe next year I'll try it in June to get it higher in the sky.
