4/30/04 Waxing Gibbous

I've got a new toy in the CoolPix 995 I bought off of ebay, really fun camera with a great array of manual options. I got it for daytime use but I also picked up the Scopetronix adapter that lets me mate the camera onto my eyepieces for afocal projection photography. Here's my first light image with this setup. This image is a composite of 3 that I needed to take to get the whole moon. I found I got the best results when using a bit of the camera zoom. This image is much higher resolution than I've been able to get with the SAC7.
