11/9/04 M74 Spiral Galaxy in Pieces

Refered to as "the perfect spiral" on the spectacular shot taken by the 8.1 meter scope at Gemini North Observatory on Mauna Kea. Mine's not quite so detailed... The display has finally gone on my imaging scope, it's barely readable at this point. I used the compter I usually use for guiding to take 1 minute unguided exposures for this image. I like the color. It's definitely a pretty galaxy.
