1/27/06 and 2/19/06 M65, M66 and NGC3628, The Leo Trio

A very photogenic group and another target that works well with the wide view afforded by the Tak-60. I took the color shots on a moonless night in January that had some high clouds figuring that I'd get the luminance on a better night. Little did I know I'd have to wait almost a month to get the right conditions to finish it up! Processing consisted of reducing with darks and flats, aligning and combining in CCDSoft, DDP in Images Plus, levels, curves and selective unsharp mask in Photoshop. The blue channel was a bit grainy and could have used some smoothing but it wasn't horrible and I decided to just leave it as is.
